In a dangerous altercation with an attacker, there is no squaring up before the bell rings. You will be caught off guard and put in a bad position by someone whose intention is to hurt you, rob you, or take you.
Even if you’ve trained for years, circumstances could prevent you from tapping into those skills — unless you train for self defense. This course was created to prepare people of all experience levels to defend themselves in real life scenarios.
Katie Hurd is a Krav Maga Black Belt, has “train the trainer” status with the Krav Maga Alliance, and is the Program Director for Self Defense at CSA in Dublin, CA. Katie was a Muay Thai fighter that realized her true passion is practical self defense designed for realistic situations.
Jessica-Rose Clark, aka Jessy Jess, is a former UFC Bantamweight with 15 years pro fighting experience. Jessy offers a relatable perspective for fighters and hobbyists that want to know how to access their trained fighting skills in self defense scenarios.
Coaches Katie and Jessy will discuss important concepts, such as situational awareness, to change how you think about safety. They will equip you with skills that you can access in real time, high risk situations without a ton of training.
After this course, you’ll walk away understanding:
-7 things everyone should know about self defense
- Close contact escapes, such as in car jacking and abduction attempts
- How to defend yourself from a seated position
- De-escalation, notably in a domestic dispute situation
- Headlock, bear hug, and wrist grab escapes, and more
